Roseville Raiders Football Team Rated Possible Conference Title Contender
The Roseville Raiders will hit the gridiron with star senior quarterback Jacques Perra leading the team' s offense.
As the Roseville Area High School football team opens its 2013 season tonight (Thursday) at Cretin-Derham Hall, the local Raiders could be in for a very good year.
In an overview of the Suburban East Conference, the Pioneer Press sports staff wrote today (Wednesday), "This veteran, skilled group could contend for a conference title."
Roseville quarterback Jacques Perra, a two-year starter, led the SEC in total offense last season, the Pioneer Press noted. "Andrew Colvard ( defensive linebacker), a starter as a sophomore, returns after missing last season with a broken ankle."
Roseville's varsity game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the University of St. Thomas football stadium in St. Paul.
