Sporting a 3-1 record, the Roseville Area High School football team will host Park of Cottage Grove Park 7 p.m. Friday (Sept. 27).

The Raiders contest is coming off a big victory last week when they trounced Woodbury 48-7.  To date, Roseville also has defeated Cretin-Derham Hall and Hastings; their only loss came in week two at the hands of East Ridge.

So far, the Raiders have had huge crowds for their home games. In an effort to build more community support for the football program, the Raiders Endzone Club is holding a pre-game tailgating event.

From 5:30 to 7 p.m. on the grassy area outside the RAHS stadium entrance, the club is serving food with all sales going to support the football program, according to the group's president Tyler Peterson.  For $5, you can get a hamburger or hot dog,  chips and a  drink.

Peterson said the food is being donated by Joe Senser's Grill & Bar.  The Roseville Fire Department will also have a fire truck for viewing, as part of the pre-game activities, Peterson said, adding, "We are trying to make it a community event"

Meanwhile, after the Friday game, here is the rest of the Raiders schedule:

Friday, Oct. 4-7 p.m. at Stillwater Area

Friday, Oct. 11-7 p.m. vs. Forest Lake

Wednesday, Oct. 16-7 p.m. at Mounds View

The 2013 Minnesota State Football Tournament begins Nov. 7 and concludes with championship games at the Metrodome on Nov. 30.
